What You Need to Know About RERA

RERA is effective solution for the aggrieved home/plot buyers which provides remedy in time bound and cost effective manner. Section 18 of Real Estate (promotion and Development) Act provides that if project is delayed then the allottee can raise grievance before the Real Estate Regulatory Authority praying for:


1. Refund of entire deposited amount with interest

Or

2. Possession of booked unit with interest for entire delay period


After hearing grievance, authority may grant relief for possession or refund as the case may be with interest. After commencement of Act, lacs of allottees availed the remedies and able to get redressal of their grievance.
